I often seem to hear a rhythm to your poems, almost like beatnik poetry. Is this what you intend when you write them?

I like what this poem says. It rings true to me =)

ooh, i'm happy to hear that :) yeah, i am often going for a particular rhythm, and these first-thought poems are definitely beatnik-y. i can also see how i fall into the same/similar rhythms from one to the next; hopefully that will diversify over time (though unlike most poets, you're seeing only 'rough drafts' - i have to assume even the greats didn't produce gems every time)
